Once a student achieves a sense of belonging and feels cared for and protected\, their academic achievement is impressive. \nHere are some things that make Phase3 different from any other school you may have experienced: \n\nFocus on Character: All available evidence points to the critical importance of solid mental health and high emotional intelligence (including a significant amount of resilience) to a child’s future success. We work on these aspects of our students’ development every single day.\nFuture Focus: Our children will thrive in new situations where adaptability and rapid learning are key; they will be ready for the world that is coming.\nIndividualized Learning: Each child will benefit from a Personalized Learning Path (PLP) that recognizes\, respects and adapts to each child’s individual needs.\nMontessori+: A modern Montessori method that incorporates STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art and Mathematics). It’s Montessori for the 21st Century.\n\nLanguage Immersion: The cognitive and social benefits of speaking a 2nd language are significant. We are the only Montessori school in the area that offers language immersion.\nLatest Educational Technology: Phase3 partners with various organizations to bring state of the art educational platforms to our classrooms.\nLimited Class Size: Our class sizes are limited to a maximum of 24 students\, with a ratio of 1:12. Each classroom has one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher.\n\nCommonsense Assessment: We work with experts to find the best assessment tools available. We will disclose our results good or bad. \nParents are our Partners: Parent questions and concerns will be taken seriously\, and Parents will be treated with kindness and respect at all times.\nTransparent Communication: We are open about both wins and losses.\nComplete Teachers: Our highly trained teachers are selected\, not just for their competence in the classroom\, but also for their willingness to collaborate with parents and colleagues.\nPredictable Tuition: Our tuition schedules are clear and allow families to plan their education budgets years in advance.\nLean Administration: We leverage technology to keep administration small and to maximize the resources available to the teachers and classrooms.\n\nWe have assembled a world-class team of Montessori teachers\, educators\, and advisors. For example\, both our science and technology instructors are both PhDs. \nAll of our Montessori guides hold AMI diplomas (the highest Montessori certification available) and have extensive classroom experience. In addition\, our school received WASC accreditation in only its second year of operation. \nAlso\, if you know of a colleague\, friend\, or family member that might also be interested\, please feel free to pass this invitation on to them. \nFor more information\, please get in touch with us. \nWe look forward to seeing you on Thursday\, February 20.

SUMMARY:Meet the Phase3 Teachers
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informational meeting to learn about Phase3 School (Phase3). Our Teachers use state of the art educational methods and curricula to nurture joyful\, innovative and resilient students of strong character\, keen intellect\, and a deep commitment to community. \nWe will open in Redlands\, with Primary (2 ½ – 6 years)\, and Elementary (1st – 6th grade) programs for the 2017 – 2018 school year. Our program combines a rigorous individualized Montessori curriculum with a strong focus on STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art and Mathematics) and language immersion. We call our approach Montessori+. \nBefore getting into the specifics of the meeting\, a number of parents have already committed to the new school\, while others would like commit but have a concern about their children’s chances to get into The Grove School. We have carefully reviewed the Grove Charter (http://thegroveschool.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Grove-Charter-2014.pdf — see page 97 for lottery preferences)\, and communicated directly with Ben Moudry\, head of The Grove School\, about this issue. \nAny child that completes the last year of Upper Elementary at Phase3 (6th grade)\, will have the exact same preference in The Grove School’s lottery as any other child coming from a Montessori school. The Grove School’s charter is clear; no Montessori school in the area has an advantage over another Montessori school. \nPlan for 1.5 to 2 hours to learn about Phase3 and to meet some of our teachers. SUMMARY:5th and 6th Year Parent Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informational meeting to learn about Phase3 School’s plans for Upper Elementary students with a Montessori background. We have received requests from parents whose children will enter their 5th and 6th years of Elementary\, to host a meeting to discuss questions specific to your children’s educational needs. \nThis meeting will give you an opportunity to have these questions answered and to benefit from interaction with other families in similar situations. \nIn addition to your comments and questions\, we plan to discuss: \n\nPreparedness of your 5th and 6th year students to move into Middle School. How do we identify gaps in their skill set\, in particular Mathematics and Language Arts\, and what can we do to bring them up to speed as rapidly as possible?\nWhat are your child’s strengths\, and how do we build on them and ensure they stay challenged and engaged? Is it possible to accelerate their learning so they can be ahead of the game when they move up to Middle School?\nParents will be consulted\, and all 5th and 6th year students will be closely observed to identify specific areas of interest. Whether it be robotics\, Civil War history or the Arts\, once identified\, Phase3 teachers will help to develop learning plans so that students can pursue these areas of interest without sacrificing a balanced education.\nAlthough we have a clear idea of how to maximize the educational experience of 5th and 6th year students\, we also have some flexibility. We want to understand parents’ educational goals for their children. It is quite possible\, after having these conversations\, that we can adjust part of our approach to more closely align with your desired outcomes.\n\nAlso\, please send us your questions or concerns in advance of the meeting\, so that we can prepare and have specific answers ready for you. \nOne of our primary goals is to ensure our children are prepared to hit the ground running at whatever local move-up school your family may choose. Whether The Grove School\, a public Middle School\, or another private school\, once you tell us what schools you are considering\, we will work with that school to understand their requirements and any challenges children may face as they move up. \nAll the feedback we’ve received from parents that have met our teachers indicates that we have superior educators. Given that we expect to have an elementary class of about 16 children\, your child will benefit from added interaction with our teachers\, and will have an excellent opportunity to resolve gaps that may have cropped up in their academic preparation\, and to accelerate their learning in areas of strength. \n To RSVP\, please visit https://goo.gl/D26Esr. \nIf none of the times available work for you\, please let us know\, and we will be happy to arrange another time to meet with your family to discuss your goals. \nFinally\, please feel free to pass on this invitation to other 5th and 6th year families that you think might be interested. \nFor more information\, please get in touch with us. \nWe look forward to meeting you.

Each classroom has one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher.\nCommonsense Assessment: We work with experts to find the best assessment tools available.
